Somalilandsun- Regional livestock stakeholders have Recognized that that the Somali peoples share socio-cultural values, trade and livestock resources, and that inclusive strategies were required for animal disease surveillance and control as well as the promotion of trade in livestock and livestock products for the benefit of the Somali peoples.
This comes after successful discussions at meeting in Kampala Uganda hosted by AU-IBAR where the over 38 participants from Somaliland and a number of Somalia regions were unanimous in acknowledging the Vital Role of Livestock as Income Generator for Somalis
