HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – British parliamentarians and foreign office officials have been briefed on the prevailing situation as pertains to Security and other issues in the country.
The briefing was conducted by Vice president Hon Abdirahman Abdilahi Sayli during a visit to West minister where he met the British legislators and diplomats following an invitation by the members of the UK’s august house.
VP Sayli who is in the UK on official duties was accompanied to the briefing meeting by Finance minister Abdiaziz Samale, deputy chair of the ruling Kulmiye party, SL representative in the UK and other advisors.
The VP and his delegation that has been in London for a couple of days also participated in festivities to commemorate the country’s 22nd anniversary of independence organized by British-Somalilanders in London on the 18th of May 2013.
This parley between the and UK officials comes a few weeks after president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo shooed-off requests or were they demands of British PM David Cameron that Somaliland attend the London conference on Somalia the PM co-hosted with Somalia president Hasan on 7th May 2013
