Somalilandsun: The Vice President of Somaliland Mr. Abdirahman Sayli is the latest politician to declare Kulmiye party post candidature.
This follows the VPs payment of the $10,000 fee thence pursuit to retain his current position as fourth Chairperson of the Somaliland ruling party Kulmiye.
The VP is shall face stiff challenge during elections at the forthcoming party national conference since the Minister of Trade and Industry Mohamed Hassan Sa’ad Sajin has also paid up his fees for the same post
The two VP and Minister come from the Same Awdal region
Mr. Sayli wants to retain the post of the 4th Vice Chairman of ruling KULMIYE party which has been his preserve for the last 2 decades, but the challenge from minister Sajin his clansman makes things a bit uncertain due to the expected fierce competition between the two officials.
This competition will bring interest and enthusiasm to the KULMIYE party convention, and these two officials from the same region appear to be the two most contested positions in the KULMIYE party convention.
Others who have declared interest in party leadership thus paid their candidate fees include
- President Muse Bihi Abdi who wants to retain his seat as party chairman
- Interior Minister Mohamed Kahin Ahmed is running for the post of First Deputy Chairman which he currently holds and.
- Hussein Aden Adde who wants to retain his position as party’s third vice chairman.
The amount of money required from the candidates is $ 10,000 each for the deputy chair Candidates and $ 15,000 for the KULMIYE Party Candidate Candidates.
