Talks to host resumed talks between somaliland and Somalia

HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The governments of Somaliland, Somalia and Turkey have agreed to reconvene in Istanbul Turkey on November 8/2013 for international sanctioned talks.

Minister of Commerce and International Investment Dr. Mohamed Abdillahi Omer confirmed that Somaliland and Somalia have agreed to continue the dialogue in turkey and that the Turkish government consented to continue hosting the dialogue .”

Dr. Omer added, ” The delegation led by President Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo and Turkey Economic Development Committee have agreed on issues pertaining of Turkey government and companies investing in Somaliland.”

President Silanyo’s delegation and Turkey Prime Minister Erdogan discussed bilateral relation and issues pertaining to Somaliland’s development in different areas.

“During the discussion the 2 countries agreed to open Liaison offices in Hargeisa and Istanbul and Vice Prime Minister of Turkey to visit Somaliland in the near future.

Foreign Minister Mohamed Bihi Yonis told the media after the meeting between the 2 sides that the meeting centered on supporting economic development and helping in the development of education as well as different infrastructures such as electricity, schools and roads.
