KALABYD (somalilandsun) – The government of president Silanyo is committed to the development of the country’s infrastructure.
This was informed by the presidency minister Hirsi Haji Ali at Kalabyd town in Gabile region where he officially opened a renovated 5 km stretch of road that connects Kalabyd with the border town of Wajale.
Minister Hirsi who was accompanied by various dignitaries who included senior government officials, parliamentarians and the head of the presidential guard urged citizens to support the administration in its endeavours of promoting livelihoods at all levels.
The presidency minister added that the various development activities being undertaken by the government are as part of president Silanyo’s campaign pledges which the head of state is determined to see fulfilled as pledged.
While several pledges were made during the 2010 presidential election campaigns and are being gradually fulfilled the country’s road network seems to be the main beneficiaries with daily reports of a new or renovated road being officially opened in one part of the country or another.
