President Silanyo chairs a meeting between Somaliland officials and Visiting British 1 diplomats led by Amb Harriet Mathews

HARGEISA –Somalilandsun- Strengthening of Somaliland’s democratization process was the Centre stage of deliberations between Somaliland president Agmed Mahmud Siland and British envoy to Somalia/Somaliland Ambassador Mathew Harriet in Hargeisa.
At the meeting hosted by president Silanyo flanked by senior administrations officials the visiting Amb Mathews accompanied by an entourage of diplomats from both the Uk embassies in Mogadishu and Adis Ababa is said to have stressed on the imperatives of holding presidential and parliamentary elections as slated for the 28th March 2017.
At the same time and upon completion of their exhaustive deliberations the two sides agreed to enhance the long standing cooperation and friendly relationship between the two countries.

On the other hand this delegation had met the chairman of Somaliland’s upper house (elders) Mr. Suleiman Mohamoud Aden.

The chairman declared after this meeting that the delegation appealed to the upper house to play lion’s share how to simplify and holding elections as it was slated.
