HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – A new deputy minister for planning and national Coordination has been appointed.
In a decree # JSL/M/XERM/249-3515/082018 president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo appointed Abdi Yusuf Ismail “Abdi Wadaad” to the post of Somaliland deputy minister at the ministry of planning and coordination.
In a dispatch by special secretary to the presidential press unit Nassir Yusuf Dahir the head of state who justified the appointment to powers bestowed upon him by section 2 article 90 of the constitution said the new appointment was necessitated by the resignation of former holder Abdikarim Ahmed Moge.
A fortnight ago Abdikarim announced his resignation through his Facebook page terming it as one precipitated by the desire to fight chronic tribalism in the country.
Though the head of state did not publicly acknowledge receipt of the resignation, its acceptance or refusal the appointment of Abdi Wadaad suffices.
