Somalilandsun -Somaliland’s minister of foreign affairs Mohamed Bihi Yonis has on today arrived in London for the second leg of a three-stop tour of UK, Egypt and Djibouti. The foreign minister flew from Cairo the Egyptian capital were he had met with top Egyptian government officials.
The foreign minister has said while speaking to a cheering crowd who had gathered at the Heathrow to welcome him that he will hold talks with Britain’s foreign secretary Mr. William Hague and top British government officials.
On October 24, the foreign minister accompanied by Education minister Samsam Abdi Adam embarked on a three-stop tour where they spent the first of their tour in Egypt.
During their stay in Egypt the two ministers met with top Egyptian government officials including, including foreign minister, and education minister.
Notable among Somaliland officials who were waiting to receive the foreign minister at London’s Heathrow international airport were the Somaliland Ambassador to UK Ali Adam Awale Tukale and ruling party Kulmiye UK department chairman Harir Hirsi Adar.
The foreign minister will visit neighboring Djibouti for the final leg of his tour.
