Somaliland: UK Enhances Diplomatic and Development Cooperation

HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The United Kingdom has expressed satisfaction with its continued multi-faceted cooperation with Somaliland.
This development follows a meeting held at the Hargeisa presidency between the president of Somaliland and visiting deputy UK Ambassador to Ethiopia Chris Allen.
After the lengthily close door meeting in which both the president and UK envoy were flanked by assistants the Somaliland minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation briefed the press.
“Discussions between the president and British envoy revolved around continued development cooperation and enhancement of existing diplomatic relations” said minister Bihi.

Other issues revealed by the minister as to have been on the agenda pertained to ongoing military operations to pacify secessionists in the east of the country
