Somalilandsun: Three people were killed and many more were injured in a car accident between Berbera and Burao this morning.
The accident happened after a high speed travelling bus belonging to a public transport company that caters to passengers plying between Somaliland and Puntland overturned around the spinning section of road immediately after Sheikh town.
Apart from the three who lost lives, others many of them seriously injured were assisted by Local residents who dispatched them to the Sahil regional hospital in Berbera where they are receiving treatment, as reported by Saeed Farah Muse Akjar of the Dawan newspaper
Though all lives are precious one of the dead is a young boy aged 12 who was returning to resume school in Hargeisa from Bosaso where he had joined his father during the prolonged school vacation
Similar incidents have been on the rise in Somaliland in recent times, with many people killed and many others injured in previous accidents.
