Somaliland: President Receives new Ethiopian Ambassador to the Country

Ethiopian Envoy to Somaliland Ambassador Saeed Mohamed Jibril with President Bihi in Hargeisa

Somalilandsun: The President H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi received in his office the new Ethiopian ambassador to Somaliland, Amb. Saeed Mohamed Jibril, who paid him a courtesy call.

In the meeting several aspects of bi-relations concerning the two countries were discussed in at length and in details.

The purpose of the meeting with the President was to welcome the Ambassador, who is new to the embassy and recently appointed by the Federal Government of Ethiopia to the Republic of Somaliland.

The meeting also discussed the deep-rooted cooperation and relationship between the Republic of Somaliland and the Federal Government of Ethiopia on development, trade, transportation and security issues in the Horn of Africa region.

The President was flanked by the Director General of the Foreign Affairs, while Ambassador Said Mohamed Jibril was accompanied by his deputy.

The new Ambassador was formerly the deputy chancellor of Hargeisa University.

Meanwhile the Head of State has sent his congratulatory and best wishes message to the people of Somaliland whereever they were on the occasion of the eve of the New Lunar Year 1442.

According to a press release from the Presidency signed by the presidential spokesperson Mr. Mohamed Warsame Jama, the President prayed for Allah’s blessings for the populace wishing them well and hoping for the sick to get well, the passed on to rest in eternal peace, and good tidings, for the people of Somaliland.

His new year’s resolution was for peace and stability to prevail.
