This was stated buy a two man team representing the Norwegian Erigavo Burao construction fund raising committee during a contribution hand-over to the national Erigavo Burao road fund raising committee at the presidential conference hall in Hargeisa on the 19th July 2014.
Thanking women Somalilanders based in Norway especially from Rogaland County for their indefatigable efforts the two man team of Mohamed Ali Ahmed and Hussein Kaiser said it was through their prodding that their committee has managed to visit Somaliland for purposes of handing over currently at contribution to the road project worth $12,384

Upon receiving the donation the deputy chairperson of the Erigavo Burao road fund raising committee Abdirahman Taliyanle who thanked the Norwegian landers especially those based in the Nordic country’s Rogaland County and more specifically the town of Stavanger the deputy chairperson of the National committee said the funds will go a long way towards hastening completion of the now on construction 370kms Asphalt road.
“I hereby acknowledge receipt of documents ascertaining that a cheque worth $12,384 has been deposited in the Erigavo Burao road fund account at Dahabshil bank” said Taliyanle
The Erigavo Burao road which is set to make the fertile Sanaag region the bread basket of Somaliland and is the biggest project of the president Silanyo administration so far costing millions of dollars is set to connect Erigavo to the rest of the country through Burao
Spearheaded by the Somaliland presidency minister Hirsi Haji Ali the construction of Erigavo Burao road which has the government funding 100kms fully asphalted has received contributions from many quarters both locally and from the diaspora with women leading the way always as far apart as Gara”adag, Erigavo, Britain, Holland and Hargeisa just to mention a few
The irony is all these citizens are chipping in towards this noble project while the opposition parties that instead of being supportive are against even to the extent of accusing president Silanyo of absconding duties upon his visit ti eastern regions of the country that according to the opposition politicians are not part of Somaliland
