Somaliland Coast guard in elevation to full Navy

HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The country’s coast guard is set for elevation to a fully fledged naval force with the anticipated arrival of Warships and other gear.

The Minister of Finance Hon. Abdiaziz Mohamed Samale said that the government procured navy vessel and the new designed Somaliland passport are due to arrive in the next seven days.

The minister announced this when he presided over the ushering in of new imported farming tractors in the national port of Berbera.

He said the navy vessels that are for enhancing security in the Somaliland shores and the new designated passports are due to arrive in the country soon. He added that this is the part and parcel of the of Somaliland 2013 budget implementation.

The minister added that the administration is trying its level best to constitute the proposed development strategies.
