HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The Somaliland Speaker of Parliament is in the Ethiopian capital on an impromptu visit.
Seen off by a small team of aides and Senior Wadani party operatives Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi ‘Irro’ departed Egal international airport Hargeisa for the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa without the usual media briefing.
According to Somalilandsun sources Irro who also doubles as leader of opposition party Wadani left the country silently for election related deliberations with US diplomats based in Addis Ababa.
“The unplanned departure comes after invitation by US officials for urgent talks” said our source.
According to an Ethiopian diplomat the General Consulate in Hargeisa is not privy to the purpose of the impromptu Addis Ababa visit by the Somaliland speaker of parliament cum Wadani party leader Abdirahman Irro.
