Hargeisa Basketball Team will sit out the Inter-cities Championship which features teams from Sudan, Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya Due to ‘Financial Difficulties’

HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) -Hargeisa city basketball team has pulled out of this year’s East and Central Africa Inter-cities basketball championship due to lack of funds.
The team was to leave for Kampala, Uganda on Sunday but they decided to withdraw from the regional tournament due to financial constraif funds but they came out empty-handed.
The Inter-Cities championship, one of the major basketball competitions in the region, threw off yesterday in Kampala. Already city teams from Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya have confirmed participation in the six-day regional tournament that was initially set for Dar-es-Salaam but was later moved to Kampala due to logistical challenges.
