The minister noted that the council first of all declared to the public that the government has shouldered all the tasks and burdens of the presidential elections, political parties, local councils and representatives, in order to build and strengthen the national structure, and lay the foundation for the government. while the elections raised the status of the Republic of Somaliland in the rest of the world.
The council thanked the huge supporters of the KULMIYE party and its government who voted for it and the people of Somaliland who trusted the KULMIYE party with their support and advice for 14 years.
The Council praised and welcomed the reputation and success of the fair elections held in the country by the international bodies and friendly foreign government which raised the status and honor of Somaliland in the world.
Minister Ali Marrehaan stated that the council has agreed that the KULMIYE party, as it was previously known, is preparing to be an opposition party that is mature, responsible and responsible in the opposition and its opposition will be constructive.
On the other hand, the President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Muse Bihi Abdi, who gave a few words of guidance and advice at the meeting, first of all thanked his cabinet that worked tirelessly with him, making it a great historic success. He described the honor and reputation of the elections, which cost 90% (Ninety percent) to Somaliland and its people.
President Muse Bihi Abdi has sent a message to the Somaliland community, both opposition and conservative, and he has called on both parties to step down and consider the way they are going, since the elections have been passed, and the opposition will soon take over power. Speaking to the opposition, he said, “I say to the opposition, you have won the election, and we congratulate you. We intend to build a nation. There is no room for opposition and violence, so get back together.”
