The presidential security advisor Mr.Ali Waran’ade has called on the traditional elders of Sool province to embrace peace and stop the blood shed in Las Anod Town. Speaking to Bulsho television journalist Mohamed Jiglan the former minister of internal security urged the elders of Sool to unconditionally stop the war and let peace reign. He elaborated the importance of peaceful coexistence amongst the people of Somaliland.
The presidential advisor when asked about the skirmishes in Togdheer region between two brotherly clans, he revealed that the head of state H.E Musa Bihi Abdi has visited the area to mediate. He confirmed both clans have agreed to the president gospel of peaceful coexistence and neighbourliness.
About the Las Anod saga Mr.Waran’ade told the Dhulbahante clan elders that in war time a son is killed and not born hence they have to desist propagating violence.
He said “You have seen how Las Anod and Sool region has deteriorated. Businesses and all economic activities have ceased to exist. The people who populated the region are now living undignified life.”
He quipped rhetorically, don’t you realise that the wars only bring anarchy and human displacement?
Ali Waran’ade told the “Garaads” to come back to the government unconditionally for peace and harmonious coexistence to reign.
