Somalilandsun: The VP H.E Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismael Saili’i received a large UNCDF delegation led by Director David Jackson (Local Development Finance). The UN Capital Development Fund basically makes public and private finance work for the world’s 39 poorest and least developed countries.
With the agency’s help to Somaliland undertake the JPLG auspices, the VP thanked the UN for its grant through which the various local government developmental progresses had been achieved in the country.
The two sides pondered on the ways and means of furthering the partnership, bolstering it and widening the support for local governance development to devolve even further.
While the VP was flanked by the deputy Interior Minister and deputy Mayor, the UNCDF director was flanked by the agency’s Regional Technical Advisor Mr. Dmitry Pozyhidaev.
