Somalilandsun- The security committee of Sanaag region has brought together two clans that had recently fought in Biyo-guudud village which is located south east of Erigavo town. The meeting held in Jidaali district to bring the two clans to the negotiations table was attended by traditional elders, the provincial administration, police chiefs and residents.
According to reliable sources informed Somalilandsun that two brotherly clans had misunderstandings which resulted in death and injury of people from both sides.
The deliberations from the meeting was read by the head of Sanaag regional police. Two people died during the clans skirmishes. “The clans are going to exchange 170 herd of camels and a girl, in all 340 herd of camels and two brides will be exchanged to cleanse the clans the blood in their hands as Somali traditional culture entails.
The regional governor of Sanaag, the mayor of Erigavo Municipality and other top government officials graced the occasion.
