BERBERA (Somalilandsun) The brutal death of Lieutenant Aden Tallabo has resulted in the sentencing to death of his assailant.
Sitting in Berbera the Somaliland armed forces court sentenced to death policeman Abdirizaq Mohamed Khaire after he was found guilty of killing his commanding officer lieutenant Aden Tallabo last Thursday.
The late lieutenant Adan Tallabo who commanded the Special Police Unit in Sahil Region was shot to death by a subordinate private Abdirizaq Mohamed Khaire at Berbera police station last Thursday g. The policeman who shot the commander was arrested and is in custody.
According to Judge-advocate Colonel Yusuf Farah Sharmarke the martial court reached the death sentenced after it was satisfied by the case presented by the prosecution “That showed the motive was based on malice and nothing else”
Late Lt Tallabo joins the list of over ten senior military and police officer to be shot to death by a subordinate in the last two years while the judgment passed on private Abdirizaq becomes the swiftest on such crimes.
