HARGEISA: (Somalilandusn) A Government delegation headed by Somaliland’s first lady Her Excellency Amina Mohamed Jirde & minister for Health Hon. Suleiman Issa (Hagla Tosiye)flanked by minister for Education Hon.Zamzam Abdi Adan, philanthropist Amina Mohamud Diriye and the former minister for Fisheries Hon. Abdullahi Jama (Geeljirre) were warmly welcomed by a large crowd at Kalabhed township.
The first lady & her Government delegation were received by a jovial cheering crowd of town’s resident-the old and young, men & women who lined up along the town’s streets clapping hands and gesturing a sign of reception. Government representatives from village to provincial (Regional) level were among the hosts that received the delegation.
In the podium members of the public and leaders alike spoke on various subjects with Somali poetry being narrated. Lastly First Lady of Djibouti addressed the crowd and thanked all those who took part in the construction of the Hospital. First Lady Amina finally laid the foundation stone to initiate the construction work and hoped that the Hospital will provide the needed social amenities in the larger region of Gabiley by treating diseases that are today referred to Hargeisa Group Hospital.
First Lady Amina also challenged the communities to make full use of the hospital and promised that it shall be fully equipped and staffed to capacity so as to contain diseases affecting the community at large.
