Somalilandsun: The government of Somaliland is pursuing technology, trade and people-to-people contacts with the Czech republic.
This follows a meeting between President Muse Bihi and the envoy of Czech republic to Ethiopia Ambassador Pavel Mikes.
According to a press statement released by the Somaliland presidential communication office the meeting took place at the presidency in Hargeisa
After extending thanks on behalf of the people of Somaliland for the visit, president Bihi who gave a concise brief of his country told Amb Pavel Mikes that though Somaliland remains unrecognized as a sovereign nation Internationally, she and her citizens remain proud of their achievements.
“The people in Cooperation with their government have singlehandedly sustained peace and security as well as huge achievements in the development of various sectors.
The closed door meeting discussed cooperation between Somaliland and the Czech Republic especially the improvement of cooperation in the fields of education, technology, trade and people-to-people contacts.
This is the first time for a delegation from the Czech republic visiting Somaliland
