Somalilandsun:SOYDAVO Implement Four Green Houses and Two Dams in Salahley and Baligubadle
Local NGO SOYDAVO in-conjunction with the ministry of agriculture has implemented agricultural production project in Salahley and Baligubadle districts. The project seeks to increase crop production and training of farmers to modern farming methods.
SOYDAVO implemented four green houses and two dams in Salahley and Baligubadle districts. The project was funded by international organizations Tearfund and BMZ. They also established two farmers cooperative society with 150 members each to train them on best agricultural practices .
Speaking during the opening ceremony of the program which began at Salahley an official of SOYDAVO confirmed that the project was implemented by their organisation to help farmers increase crop production. He revealed that Tearfund was there to monitor and evaluate the project, while the funding was done by BMZ Germany.
Addressing the participants the assistant minister of agriculture Mrs.Yurub Abiib commended the organizations that funded and implemented the project. She urged the farmers to learn from the experts and apply the knowledge learnt in their farms to increase crop production.
