Somalilandsun:Human Rights Centre Condemns the Arbitrary Arrest of Freelance Online Journalist Busharo Bandey
A press statement by Human Rights Centre has condemned the arbitrary detention of female journalist Busharo Bandey.
The press release which a copy was forwarded to Somaliland sun revealed that the freelance online journalist had been denied medical attention and visitation by her family and friends.
According to Human Rights Centre report the female journalist sustained facial and legs injuries during her unlawful arrest.
The press statement was signed by chairperson of Human Rights Centre Mrs Yasmin Omar Haji Mohamud.
The Human Rights Centre called for her immediate and unconditional release from custody.
She is currently remanded at Hargeisa Maximum Prison awaiting the mention of her case.
Miss.Busharo had been airing controversial news from Las Anod that was critical to the government and president H.E Musa Bihi Abdi.
