Youthful Somaliland citizen Ms Rahma Elmi Duale wins the Milead 2014 fellowship

Somalilandsun – The MILEAD FELLOWSHIP for 2014 has been awarded to a young Somaliland lady Ms Rahma Elmi Duale at a ceremony in Accra the capital of Ghana.
Ms Duale who won the fellowship from a pack of 1260 entrants from 42 countries thence become one of 25 Moremi Initiative Leadership Empowerment and Development) Fellow and access numerous fellowship benefits from the Moremi Initiative which is an organization with the objective of Engaging, inspiring and equipping a new generation of African women leaders.

Your commitment to the MILEAD Program
• Availability for full and active participation in the 2014 MILEAD Fellows Leadership Institute (July 12- August 2, 2014, Accra- Ghana).
• Commitment to participate in the ongoing online and all program activities throughout the one year program (July 2014- July 2014).
• Commitment to give back to your community by initiating, leading and implementing a community (MiCHANGE) project that will make a positive impact in your community- on a critical issue of importance to your peers, your community or African women in general.
• Respect for the diverse backgrounds, cultures and world-views in the program.
• Long-term commitment to work with other fellows to promote the rights/ interest of African women and social justice in our society.
Scholarship for 2014 MILEAD Institute: Due to the high demand for the limited Moremi scholarships for the 2014, you are hereby awarded partial scholarship covering 85% of your already subsidized participation cost of $4,500. You are responsible for 15% [US$675] of your cost. Please note that the fee covers all costs including- accommodation, meals, travels, tuition and all program related activities for the three weeks. We would be happy to provide you with relevant supporting documents to enable you raise thee 15% upon request.
While we honor your accomplishments with this award, it is also a call to action and a reminder ofhow much more you can contribute to the improvement of the situation of women and our great continent.
