HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – former senior figures in the government of former president Dahir Rayale Kahin have officially joined the opposition party Wadani.
At a welcoming ceremony held at a Hargeisa hotel former minister of public works Saeed Sulub, former minister of Family affairs Fatuma Suudi and deputy chairman of Rays political group Suleiman Barre Kulumbe and hundreds of their supporters become official Wadani party members.
The function was officiated by the Wadani party cum speaker of Somaliland parliament Abdirahman Irro assisted by other top party honchos.
Wadani and UCID are the official opposition parties of Somaliland whose constitution stipulates that only three political [parties can be registered at one given time thence the two will face ruling Kulmiye party in presidential elections slated for mid 2015.
