Somalilandsun- In March 2004 then Somaliland president Dahir Rayale Kahin embarked on a European official tour accompanied by senior operatives in his administration.
His first stop was the United Kingdom where he met and held fruitful discussions with figures in the British government and parliament.
Over a decade later our interest in reminiscing the visit ain’t the high level talks in the corridors of Westminster but pertinent to a speech delivered on the 17th March 2004 during a reception and subsequent banquet in honour of the visiting president. His delegation and a number of British MPs just returned from Hargeisa hosted by the Somaliland Communities in Diaspora in London.
The speech that resonates today was delivered on behalf of the Diaspora communities was accorded Eid Ali Ahmed of Cardiff Wales and one of the Initiators and founders of both the SNM and Hargeisa Group known as UFFO
