TALEEH (Somalilandsun) – The Somaliland national army is in possession of Eight Armed Technical war wagons owned by Puntland.

This follows the surrender of Puntland soldiers manning the war wagons to the Somaliland forces in Taleeh district of Sool region in the east of the country.
According to Major Abdiqadir Muse of the Somaliland military intelligence corps the defecting puntland army personnel include a major who was in command of the unit.
The defecting soldiers from the Somaliland administrative region of Puntland were accompanied by a sizeable number of Khatumoist clan militias whom they were operating jointly with in the area.
The surrender of the Puntlanders comes after skirmishes with the Somaliland national army in parts of Taleeh district whose objectives was to remove secessionists elements of the purported Khatumo state led by Somalia MP Ali Khalif Galayd.
Meanwhile the army has flushed out Khatumoist militias and their sympathizers during an operation in Saahdheer area in Taleeh district where senior Khatumoist leadership had sought refugee after removal from Taleeh town.

At the same time the purported Khatumo leadership has acknowledge the total removal of their militias from all areas in Taleeh district by the Somaliland army.
In a briefing to the press in his hideout near in Puntland the claimant to the Khatumo presidency Jama Yusuf Indosheel said
Indosheel“I hereby inform that the Khatumo clan militia has been dislodged from its bases in Taleeh district”
The stateless presidents who further acknowledge the surrender of a large number of his militia to the Somaliland army urged the Hargeisa authorities to treat them kindly.

Upon accusing his political mentor Ali Khalif Galayd of absconding in the face of danger Indosheel who termed prevalent status as every man for himself advised his remaining and scattered militia to look cease any operations and surrender to the Somaliland army.
Despite the War verbosity of Puntland president Abdiweli Gaas emanating from Garowe this surrender of sizeable unit with weapons recently supplied by the federal government in Mogadishu is a clear indication that the unionists are no match for Somaliland militarily, democratically or in the building of a country.
