Somalilandsun: – The delegation led by Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud “Silanyo” has returned home after visits to the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
The President and his delegation that also met with senior Ethiopian officials whilst in transit in Addis Ababa included the first lady Ms Amina Mohamed Jirdeh ‘Amina Weris’, Presidency minister Mr Hirsi Haji Ali and Foreign affairs minister Dr Mohamed Abdilahi Omar among others
Whilst in the United Kingdom and the United States the President and his delegation met with senior officials in countries, as well as, business leaders and the Somaliland communities in those two countries.
All in all, one of the key results from the visits to the United Kingdom and the United States by President Silanyo was the affirmation that Somaliland will not be party to the London conference on Somalia, and has ambitions other than reviving the defunct “Somali Republic”.
