Somalilandsun – The Hargeisa livestock market has received a new facelift courtesy of funding from the UKAid and FAO Sustainable Employment & Economic Development-SEED program.
According to the former Mayor of the capital city Eng Hussein Jiir in whose tenure the rehabilitation was embarked on, the rehabilitation has not only given the market a new spark of modern facilities, “Now the area’s compound is contained safe and secure for users”
Though the country’s main livestock market is in Burao the toghdeer regional capital, the one in Hargeisa is used for also used for purchas
e and sale of Camels, cows, goats and sheeps for both local consumption and for export to countries of the gulf.
