Somalilandsun: After a poor health fight well borne Abdi Ismail Boos former minister of agriculture in the Somalia administrative region of Puntland passed away in Hargeisa on Wednesday the 20th Jan,
Said to have been afflicted by an ailment that could not be treated in Puntland the deceased is reported to have transfered from Garowe to Burao by his family and clan members where he reached on Monday.
With the situation turning dire the late Boos was again hurriedly dispatched to Hargeisa with intent of availing him professional medical services and facilities in the Somaliland capital city.
“Unfortunately this was not to happen for he passed away in Hargeisa a day after arriving there on Wednesday” said President of Puntland Saeed Abdilahi Deni in a statement
In a message of condolence, president Deni termed the departed as a true son of the Somalia administrative region and gallant public servant who will be missed by all.
“on my personal behalf, that of my administration and people of Puntland I extend condolences to the family, relatives and friends of former agriculture minister late Abdi Ismail Boos who died in Hargeisa the Somaliland capital”
Confirming that the deceased met with his death while pursuing specialized medical attention in Somaliland, president Deni pledge Full Puntland Government support towards burial facilitation.
The Government in Hargeisa has not publicly commented on the death though it is known that despite their hate for Somaliland not only ordinary but senior Puntland public officials regularly pursue various professional services in most Eastern based cities like Las And, Erigavo and Burao as well the capital.
