Hargeisa(Somaliland sun). The Defense Minister of Somaliland Hon. Ahmed Hajj Ali Cadaami confirms the communication from the president of Puntland Abdiweli Gaas is untrue.
The Alshabaab who recently battles with the military of Punt land at Gal-gala Mountains in Puntland are said to cross the border from Somaliland to Puntland.
But the Defense Minister Hon. Ahmed Hajj Ali Aadami tell through the telephone that the Puntland president announcement was just said or rather untrue and it really affects the memorandum of understanding between Somaliland and Somalia, though Puntland is under the federal government of Somalia.
The Defense minister said “If I could answer Abdiweli Gaas, anyone can say whatever obsessions that he likes and from the passion that you can judge, you can realize which one is true or not. And according to me no one has cross the border and no fighting chaps has entered our border so far.”
The Minister further concluded his statement saying that we as Somaliland value most the understanding between Somalia and Somaliland and what the President of Puntland is talking about is to him and his government so far we recognize that Puntland is under the federal government of Somalia and any person fighting entered our nation should be handled according to the law and that we must stop criticism.
