Somalilandsun: The Somaliland army has absorbed military officers who defected from service in the Puntland state of Somalia.
The defecting Soldiers were received by the commander of Somaliland forces based in Sool region Brigadier General Ali Bare Hussein who said that there were a couple of commissioned officers and dozens of NCOs and soldiers who defected from the Puntland administration in Somalia, armed with their weapons.
The defecting troops who were received in Goojo-cadde area of Sool region, are originally from Somaliland
While such defections are regular this one comes in the heels of a recent one by highly trained Somalia special forces to the Somaliland army.
