Somalilandsun: While Somaliland and Taiwan share many values Democracy is the common language, and freedom is the common objective.
This has always been the way the two countries view their bilateral relations
This is per a congratulatory message from the foreign ministry in Taipei extended Somaliland by the people and Governent of Taiwan on the 1st June 2021
Prior to the official statement, and on the day the counry went to her first combined parliamentary and local Councils elections President Tsai Ing-wen tweeted

And a day after Somaliland successful concluded its first joint parliamentary and local Councils elections, the Government and people of Taiwan have extended congratulations
The congratulatory messages was extended in a statement issued by Foreign minister Joseph Wu , in Taipei and submitted through the Taiwan diplomatic mission on Hargeisa
Taiwan never shy’s away from standing with Somaliland at all times and as pertains the Democratization process, the Somaliland national elections commission-NEC was recipient of both financial and material support.

A day to the 31st May elections Amb Allen Lou handed over Iris Biometrics Voter Verification system-IBVVS worth $2.5m.
As he handed over the IBVVS whIch is compatible with the already in Use Iris Biometric Face Recognition technology, Amb Lou told NEC
