Somaliland sun – Last month, the parliament of Somaliland approved the DP world contract worth $442m to manages and develop the port of Berbera with a plan that promises to transform the ancient trading post and boost the region’s economy.
While the government have pew that this will open a bigger share of trade within the busy Red sea and at the same time become a regional maritime gateway some local fishermen worry that they will be left behind. Jason Patinkin has the story for VOA from Berbera.
