Somalilandsun- Mukhtar Robow, a founding father of the Alshabaab militant group, is currently in the Capital Mogadishu where he was airlifted after handing himself in to government forces.
According to a report by Aljazeera ,the renegade leader of Somalia’s al-Shabab whose nome de Guerra is Abu Mansur has defected to the regional government, severing ties to the armed group that has been carrying out attacks in the country.
The surprise move by Robow who was at one time chief spokesperson for the group comes soon after the the US cancelled a $5m reward offered for his, Robow’s, capture in June
