Somalilandsun – The Al Qaeda-linked militant group in Somalia of Al Shabab has closed down Hormuud Telecom Company’s branch in Jilib town, Middle Jubba region after the company failed to pay $50,000 which Al Shabab demanded from local companies.
The fighters of the militant group also detained more than 15 staff members working for the company including the branch chief Mohamud Haji Salad RBC Radio reports.
