Somalilandsun: Saferworld, has launched a Somali language version website
Saferworld an international NGO has been working to promote peace, democratisation and good governance in Somalia and Somaliland since 2004.
In a statement Saferworld informed
“We are excited to launch Saferworld website in Somali, which will enable you to keep up-to-date about our work and access resources specifically relevant to Somalia and Somaliland, where we have been working to promote peace, democratisation and good governance since 2004. Globally, Saferworld also has sites in English, Chinese, Arabic and Russian.
We hope the site will contribute to knowledge sharing on peace, good governance and justice related topics for our partners, civil society organisations, national networks, and any interested groups or individuals. For the first time users will be able to access our resources such as: reports, briefings, podcasts and toolkits in the Somali language.
At Saferworld we are committed to hearing from our partners and sharing community voices, and we recognise the importance of communications and resources in people’s own languages. We hope the Somali website will continue an open dialogue between Saferworld, our partners and the communities we work with in Somalia and Somaliland by providing a source of tools and expertise on people-centred peace, good governance, security and justice issues.
