Somalilandsun : The Opposition Wadani party is now officially in control of three major local councils in Somaliland.
A day after the UCID -Wadani opposition parties alliance Crowned Councillor Ismail Haji Nuur Mayor of Erigavo, focus turned to the West.

At the city Municipality Mayor Abdikarim shall have Councillor Khadar Ahmed Nur as deputy Mayor.
His Borame counterpart Mayor Baradhe shall be deputized by Councillor Yassin Daheeye Adan.
Apart from Erigavo where Mayor Ismail Haji Nuur is serving a third term, it was the first time for any opposition party to take control of both the Hargeisa and Borame local councils in the recent past
With elections 2021 results favouring the position parties with a combined majority in both parliament and 95% of local councils , the two UCID and Wadani entered into an Alliance .
