Hargeisa- The Wadani party quest for the Somaliland presidency in elections slated for October 2017 has been centralized.
According to a statement the opposition party has appointed Hamse Abdirahman Khayre as national presidential campaign manager.
Signed by the party’s nominee for president Abdirahman Abdilahi Irro the new appoint shall be responsible the nationwide management of the campaign as well as regional coordination.
While clearing the ambiguity surrounding the n w appointment which facilitates Hamse taking over the office from Hirsi Haji, the party stated that the two swap places thence the later’s responsibility shall be in Gabile region which is home region of the former.
Whioe wishing Hamse success in his new national duties Irro who is also the speaker of the Somaliland parliament stressed on the fact that the national campaign manager shall work closely with the party hierarchy.
During the presidential elections in October in which incumbent president Silanyo is not contesting, Irro representing Wadani party shall be challenging Muse Behi of the ruling party Kulmiye and Eng Feisal Ali of the other opposition party UCID.
