Somalilandsun: Somaliland is set for enhanced Security partnership with the United States of America.
This follows the inclusion of the Horn Africa country into the US National Defence Authorization Act fiscal year 2023 which was fronted by the Senate armed forces Committee.
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is the name for each of a series of United States federal laws specifying the annual budget and expenditures of the U.S. Department of Defense. The first NDAA was passed in 1961.
The NDAA approval follows the now fully fledged US-Somaliland partnership act
In reaction to this development the Somaliland envoy to the US Bashir Gorth says
“The Republic of Somaliland expresses its deep appreciation to the U.S. House Armed Services Committee for taking steps to bring about a stronger partnership between the U.S. and Somaliland,”
