Somalilandsun – The opposition party UCID which is first in the time table released by NEC has launched its campaign nationwide with presidential candidate Eng Feisal Ali Warabe addressing Toghdeer region residents in the capital Burao.
With jubilation supporters ushering him to the podium Eng Feisal Ali Warabe who is contesting ther Somaliland presidency urged his supporters to not only vote for him but entice others thernce see him ascend to the presidency
Similar campaign activities were undertaken by UCID party officials in all regional and district headquarters
According to the schedule the three political parties of UCID, Kulmiye and Wadani shall have an exclusive day for campaigning all over the country and with the timeframe being 21 days each party is allotted seven days

Eng Feisal Ali Warabe is the founder and Chairman of the For Justice and Development(UCID) political party. He is also contestant for the Somaliland presidential elections slated for 13th November 2017.

Warabe was born in 1948 in Hargeisa, British Somaliland. He hails from the Ciidagale, Garxajis sub-clan of the Isaaq.
Warabe is married. He speaks several languages, including Somali, Arabic, English, Russian and Finnish.Warabe received Finnish citizenship in 1999.
Education
For his post-secondary education, Warabe studied in Soviet Union. He earned an M. Sc. in Engineering in 1973 from an institution in Leningrad.
Between 1997 and 2001, Warabe also matriculated at the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Social Sciences, where he attended courses in the Social Policy Department. He later moved to Espoo.

Career
An engineer by profession, Warabe began his career as the president of AYAAN, a local Somali construction company. He later worked as a Chief Engineer in Mogadishu.
Warabe subsequently served with the Somali central government as the Director of Planning and Building in the Ministry of Public Works. He was later appointed the Ministry’s Regional Director.
In 2001, Warabe founded the For Justice and Development (UCID) in Somaliland. Serving as the political association’s Chairman, UCID came in third place in the 2003 regional elections, receiving 16% of votes.
