Somalilandsun – Yet to be confirmed reports indicate that the Toghdeer Regional Governor Abdilahi Hamarje has tendered-in his resignation.
Hamarje who is said to have submitted his letter of resignation to the head of state president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo before his departure to Addis Ababa Ethiopia on official invitation of that government which sent him a chartered jet for the journey
The Toghdeer governor purportedly resigned after pressure from where not yet divulged, to re-arrest the two times detained ex-deputy governor of the region Guleid Dahir Samatar.
Hamarje a former governor of Maroodi-Jeeh regional where he also gained notoriety for being the first governor to be prosecuted and sentenced on corruption charges and later reinstated before being transferred to Toghdeer.
