HARGEISA: (Somalilandsun) The President of Somaliland His Excellency Mahamud Mohamed Silanyo officially opened the new building of the ministry of sports and also placed the first brick of foundation of Sonyo umbrella new building.
The functions officiated by the head of state also included some members of the cabinet. Speaking at the function the DG of the ministry of public works Abdirizak Khalif Ahmed said the new sport building is a new government asset.
He said” Your Excellency it is a honor for us to have as the guest of honor in opening the sports tourism ministry building”. The ministers of planning and finance also welcomed the developments evidently seen and praised the President for his vision of the country.
The minister of sports and tourism Hon. Ali Said Raygal said” this is a day of honor for the youth and it’s a proof of how the government is fulfilling its commitments to the people of Somaliland “
The national youth umbrella proposed new building foundation was also laid by the head of state and the unveiling of SYF (Somaliland youth fund) the chairman of the umbrella Mohamed nuuh Tani said this is a historical day for the youth in Somaliland. He said” Your Excellency on behalf of the youth we thank for your extended hand to the youth development strategies and its an honor for us in your unveiling of the SYF.
The President speaking at functions said” development of the youth is the foundation of the future” he added ” I start by donating a 100 thousand US to the SYF. And I ask the businesses fraternity to do likewise and help create the leaders of tomorr
