HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The death of Nuur Haji Jama has robbed is a big blow to the education sector.
The president H.E Ahmed Mahmoud Silanyo has extended condolences to the family, relatives and friends of late Nuur Haji Jama who passed away in the United Arab Emirates on Friday.
In message of condolences released from the presidency in Hargeisa, President Silanyo who also condoled the education sector said that the deceased would be remembered as one of the founding fathers of higher education in the country.
President Silanyo prayed to Allah for the succor of the late Nuur who was popular known as “NUUR AMIYE”.
The late Nuur Amiye who passed away in Ajman spearheaded the establishment of higher education in the country through the initiation of secondary schools and other institutions of higher learning as well as supporting them to develop their curriculum.
He was buried in Ajman UAE on Friday.
