Somaliland: President Promotes Dilla Police Officers for Lives Saving Heroism

Brigadier Fadal Iman Somaliland Police commander pins Liuetenant rank to the epullete of a Heroic Dilla police officer under scrutiny of President Silanyo

Somalilandsun-Somaliland President H.E Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud (Silanyo), has honored with promotion two police officers who rescued seven people the during rain floods that swept away nine people in Dilla, district Awdal region last week.
A warrant officer II Mohamed Ali Barre, helped rescue seven citizens including children and adults. He is promoted to the rank of 1st lieutenant.
His colleague 1st Lieutenant Mohamed Wa’ys Allale a who was also for similar heroism during the floods was promoted to the rank of 2nd lieutenant, both the honoured re police officers attached to the officers Dilla police station.
This Occasion held at presidential palace in Hargeisa was attended by the Somaliland police commander Brigadier Abdilahi Fadal Iman, Minister of presidency and other guests.
President Ahmed Silanyo has hailed the two officers has done practical good example to the other police members. “You have displayed patriotism, I appreciated your feelings which are making good sense every one of us, “Said the president while adding that: “to rescue your people facing on the dangerous daily live is not an easy thing.”
Somaliland President Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo has handed over the two heroes a check for cash which is kind of national motivation.

On 6th April 2016 floods swept away the lives of 5 people and survived for other seven in Dilla district, Awdal region west Somaliland.
