Somalilandsun-In the recent past Somaliland and more so its capital Hargeisa had been inundated with rumours of an imminent arrest of Eng. Feisal Ali Warabe the leader of opposition party UCID.
The arrest was to emanate courtesy of a defamation case against the opposition politician entered upon by the Somaliland first family for alleged insinuations of corrupt business practices uttered against them by Eng. Warabe.
But things have taken a dramatic turn of events after a reconciliation meeting between president Muse Bihi Abdi and Eng. Feisal Ali Warabe took place in Hargeisa under mediation by traditional leaders and elders.
During the elders facilitated meeting the two leaders are said to have candidly expressed grievances against each thence mapping the road to the reconciliation in which both agreed to open a new chapter in relations where personal issues are shelved while those of the public good should be upheld.
While the hullaballoo of their personality clashes has died the big issue remains when the president shall finalize political agreements brokered by elders as pertains the expedited holding of the oft postponed parliamentary and local council elections via disbanding the new Elections commission and reinstating the past one.
In the meantime the third meeting between president Bihi and opposition parties chief Abdirahman Irro of Wadani and Eng. Feisal of UCID set to solve the elections impasse failed to take place as slated on the 10th January thence more eyebrows raised.
