The President of Somaliland was amongst several leaders of States and Representatives of Nations who graced the Djibouti Presidential inauguration of the incumbent H.E Ismail Omer Guelleh who has just been installed for his fifth term.

The Information Minister Hon. Suleimen Yusuf A. Kore who happens to be the government spokesperson and was in President’s entourage to Djibouti said that Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta, Guinea Conakry President Alpha Kaonde and Ethiopian Premier Abiy Ahmed, whereas South Sudan was represented her Vice President, Rwanda and Somalia led by their Prime Minister’s and Uganda by its deputy Prime Minister.

Hon. Kore similarly noted that all major regional, continental and global inter-governmental organizations were similarly represented.

He noted that the inauguration was punctuated by pomp and elaborated festiveness hence gave the Somaliland nation a notable notch in international limelight being reflected as a real entity.
