As Legislator Kore Supports National Consultation Convention

HASRGEISA (Somalilandsun) – Opposition Member of Parliament Hon. Suleiman Ali Koore has said that opposition parties have the right to hold national meeting to discuss political issues and to rectify the worst political situation the country has experienced since her independence in 1991.
The legislator who urged the state to stop derailing holding of the consultative meeting said that the government had jumped into the wrong conclusion pertaining the national conference by the opposition calling it a cowardly act.
Mean while the national consultation and rectification forum are going to be clear on matters to be discussed at the national consultation conference.
They claimed that the public have been misinformed, and said that they are elders of the nation and well known to its citizens and have a right for freedom of association that our constitution clearly states. “we called for a meeting for the nation to hold consultation on many issues afflicting it citizens, then we were told that if you want to hold a national conference join the three registered political parties in the country after we joined the two opposition parties the national party ”Wadani” and the party of justice and development ”UCID” we believe the right to hold the national consultation exists” said the consultation forum in a statement.
In which the forum also accused the administration of President Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo of not respecting nation’s laws and the constitution.
In a recent statement the government in the guise of interior minister Mohamed Ali Waran’ade warned the opposition parties about holding the national consultation conference in which the state views negatively thence imminent crackdown.
