Somalilandsun – In a
nticipation of Somaliland’s Independence Day, I ,the President of Somaliland invite Somaliland communities around the world to come together in celebration.
On Saturday the 18th of May, Somaliland will mark its 22nd anniversary since declaring independence.
This presents a wonderful opportunity to come together as a people in celebration.
Wherever you are 
in the world I hope you take the chance to think of your fellow Somalilanders, our history and our future. Somaliland has come a long way in the last 22 years.
Our country is an island of good governance, peace and security in the Horn of Africa.
Our independence day provides not only an opportunity to cele
brate our successes but also a chance to look to the future.
Together we are shaping a country that we can all be proud of.
